Episode 153.5 – Technology Woes

Technology is great when it works. On this mini-episode of The PVDcast, I discuss my recent “week off” due to technology issues. I also explain my misadventures in trying to fix my technology by myself. I also share the bad news that Video Central is closing for good and relive some of my memories from that wonderful store. Throw in a little pro wrestling news and my thoughts on my upcoming venture to SPACE (Small Press & Alternative Comics Expo) and you’ve got one solid 16 minute edition!

Episode 153 – “The Stretcher” James Avery

Pro wrestling is a rough and tumble business where learning the ropes (literally and figuratively) is essential. On this episode of The PVDcast, I sit down with wrestler and trainer, “The Stretcher” James Avery. James has spent many years wrestling throughout the Midwest and is now training wrestlers through his school, the Ohio Pro Wrestling Academy.  We discuss James’ career in pro wrestling, as well as his transition into training aspiring wrestlers. The episode caps off with a round of Tag, Feud or Job™ featuring some of the most notorious stretchers in the history of wrestling!

Episode 152 – Brian Lau V

He’s back! Brian Lau joins me on this episode of The PVDcast to talk about his comic, Staunch Ambition. Being an independent creator, Brian has to rely on creative ways to fund his project. He has a Kickstarter launched to help get issue #3 of Staunch Ambition out into the world and to help pay for issue #4. Brian and I talk about the Kickstarter campaign, as well as the background behind the comic and even do a little bit of casting for Staunch Ambition: The Movie!  Check out this episode and check out Brian’s Kickstarter by clicking the link below:
