Episode 169 – Monroe Comic Con 2018

This episode of The PVDcast features highlights from my trip to the Monroe Comic Con. This annual celebration of comic books took place September 15 in Monroe, Michigan. Per my modus operandi, I helped Brian Lau at the Staunch Ambition table, met some new friends and got some podcasting done. In fact, on this episode, you’ll hear my interviews with the legendary Glenn Fabry and Arvell Jones. I will apologize up front for some technical issues with Arvell’s interview and hope it does not deter you from checking out one fantastic episode!

Episode 168 – ALL IN

The wrestling world was set on its ear three weeks ago when ALL IN took place in Chicago. Wrestling fans from all over converged on Chi-Town for a host of various events happening over Labor Day weekend. I traveled to the Windy City to catch this historic weekend of wrestling fandom. And on this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by a fellow wrestling enthusiast Will (twitch.tv/W34ponx) who also partook in the events that ALL IN had to offer. We talk about our different experiences at ALL IN, STARRCAST, AAW and all of the other festivities happening that weekend. It’s a recap that’s deeper than any deep dish Chicago pizza!

Episode 167 – Ken Eppstein 3

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by Ken Eppstein. He is the man behind Nix Comics & has been a staple of the independent comic scene in Columbus for a while. Ken & I talk about his new projects that will be released in conjunction with the CXC Festival. The CXC (Cartoon Crossroads Columbus) Festival is a celebration of cartoons, comics & art featuring a host of creators & activities spread out throughout Columbus. In addition to talking about Ken’s new projects, we also discuss Ken’s past projects. We even chat about his inspirations, his fandom for comics & music & believe it or not, cussin’ kitties!

Episode 166.5 – Labor Day

Labor Day was this past weekend and on this mini-episode of The PVDcast, I recap some of the things I did over the holiday weekend. I give a brief review of my trip to Chicago to see the historic ALL IN event. I also discuss the upcoming Cartoon Crossroads Columbus event and the passing of Burt Reynolds. The mini-episode concludes with details on a new project I am working on with Jeramy from The Canned Air Podcast. I would tell you more about this project, but then you would not have to listen to episode 166.5!
