Episode 323 – Rory Sheridan (Macho Cat Comics)

Once again pro wrestling and comic books collide on this episode of The PVDcast. My guest for this edition is Rory Sheridan, an independent comic book creator from Cincinnati. Rory is the man behind Macho Cat Comics and the new project, Jimmy Nation. Rory explains his tale of a plucky, young babyface wrestler trying to move up the ladder of success. We talk about the current Kickstarter for the project, the backstory to the comic and future plans for Jimmy Nation. We wrap up the episode discussing comics book favorites, Rory’s wrestling fandom and his acting career!

Episode 322 – Eric Watkins (Broken Icon Comics)

It has been said that pro wrestling is like a live action comic book. My guest on PVDcast #322 can attest to that statement! Eric Watkins, one half of Broken Icon Comics, joins me to discuss his company’s newest comic, The Adventures of Al Snow and Head ft. Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eric fills me in on how this project became a reality, why he decided to use the genre of Western for the project and info on the current Kickstarter to help fund the project. We also dive into Eric’s comic book and wrestling fandoms, as well as discussing some of Broken Icon Comics’ massive catalog of comics!

This weekend, the Arnold Sports Festival returns to Columbus, Ohio. New Ohio Wrestling is slated to present several huge wrestling events at the Arnold. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by the “Prophet of Pain” Amos, who will be competing on those NOW events. Obviously, we discuss Amos’ insights about being part of NOW at the Arnold. Episode 319 – AC Mack

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by a pro wrestler who has set the independent pro wrestling scene on fire. My guest is the current Independent Wrestling World Champion, AC Mack. AC made history a few short weeks ago when he captured this championship, becoming the first openly gay male wrestler to hold a World title. AC and I chat about what this accomplishment means to him, what impact he hopes to make during his reign and what upcoming matches are on his schedule. We also dive into his start in the wrestling business, the state of diversity in the sport and AC gives us a glimpse into what superstar he would want to face in his ultimate dream match.

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by my guest, Jack Wallace, one half of the duo behind Disposable Fiction Comics. Jack has penned a new comic that is more family friendly than any of his other tales. Chimera: Island of Dreams is a comic where a group of children are whisked away to a magical island to live out their biggest fantasies. Jack and I discuss the current Kickstarter for this project (see link below), as well as the story behind its creation. On this episode, I’m joined once again by The Pro Wrestling Pundits (DJ Joey Blayze & Ringside Rand) to review and discuss the event.
