The NHL completed its 2019-2020 season just a few weeks ago, when the Tampa Bay Lightning won Lord Stanley’s Cup. Episode 255 – Stacey Toy & Richard Burgin

On this episode of The PVDcast, I sit down with not one but two filmmakers. Stacey Toy is a Pennsylvania based filmmaker that spent many years in the journalism world but now produces movies. Richard Burgin is a filmmaker from Chicago that has just wrapped up his first film, a horror flick called, Fang. Both of these fine guests chat with me about the process of making films, their journey into filmmaking and how they overcame obstacles that were placed before them. Episode 254 – Chris Stolle

My guest on this episode of The PVDcast and me share quite a bit in common. Chris Stolle is a podcaster in Philadelphia but spent a large chunk of time working in the independent wrestling scene in Pennsylvania and Colorado. We chat about his podcast Breaking the Fourth Wall, as well as his company, Realm of the Mist Entertainment. We also discuss Chris’ time breaking into the wrestling industry and creating his character. Chris shares stories of working with legendary wrestlers, memorable road trips and a quick game of Tag, Feud or Job! This is one high-flying, dropkickin’ edition that you don’t want to miss!

Episode 253 – Bruce Vilanch & Jack O’Halloran

This episode of The PVDcast is an extra special episode. I am joined by two guests, who are Hollywood stars that have had illustrious careers in Tinseltown. Bruce Vilanch and Jack O’Halloran join me on this installment to talk about their careers. Bruce shares stories of attending Ohio State University, working on Hollywood Squares, writing the notorious Star Wars Holiday Special and more. Jack discusses his boxing career, his role as Non, in Superman I & II, his book, Family Legacy and many other topics. Despite being a bit of a long episode, it’s well worth the listen!

Episode 252 – Jeff Patrick 2 (World’s Greatest Comics)

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined once again by World’s Greatest Comics’ owner, Jeff Patrick. Jeff gives us an update as to how the pandemic has impacted his store, as well as the whole comic book industry. We also discuss the chaos that has gripped DC Comics in the past few months. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by independent comic creator, David Whalen. He is the man behind Correct Handed Comics. David has created a cast of relatable characters in each of his projects, from the cowboys in Last Ride to Tyburn to the crazy kids in The Offspring to the downtrodden Shady Lady. Often, David is a one-man army creating his various projects, a topic we discuss in our chat. We also talk about the odd name for his company and his transition from the business world to becoming an art teacher and comic creator. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by a guest who may already be familiar to some listeners, as she was the topic of discussion on a previous episode.  My guest is professional wrestler, Trish Adora, who was the subject of Antonio Hernandez’s short documentary, South Side Suplex (see episode #239). Trish and I discuss her fandom of pro wrestling, her decision to get into the business and how she ended up training in Florida. We talk about her military background and how that ties into the world of pro wrestling.
