Episode 234 – Colin Devonshire II

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by Colin Devonshire. He is the creator of a comic called, By the Time I Get to Dallas. Colin is launching a Kickstarter for book two of the series and he stopped by to chat about the campaign. We also talk about the origins of his tale, the protagonist, Rudy and the prequel story, The Trinity Project. Colin is also an emergency room physician and we discuss how COVID-19 has impacted his professional and personal life. To say that the Coronavirus has changed our world would be a massive understatement. One change has been the economic woes it has created for our country. On this episode of The PVDcast, I sit down with World’s Greatest Comics’ Jeff Patrick. We discuss the changes that he has made to his comic bookstore in the wake of COVID-19. We talk about the economic impact that the pandemic has had on his store. We also converse about the huge obstacles this situation has placed on the comic book industry. We even chat about what the future might hold for comic book publishers and include some comic book history.

Episode 231 – JB Kalagayan

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by comic book creator, JB Kalagayan. He has created a comic called MeSseD that focuses on a utility we use every day – the sewer. This fantastical tale is about a sewer worker named Lilliput and the wild adventures she has while down below. Find out what crazy, culvert creatures try to cause chaos and stop Lilliput from doing her job. We also chat about JB’s background in theater, his fandom of comics and the merits of sanitation (a topic no one thought The PVDcast would cover)!

Episode 230 – Chris Parsons (aka Magnum CK)

Chris Parsons is the man known to many wrestling fans as Magnum CK. On this episode of The PVDcast, Chris joins me to discuss his new documentary film, Magnum’s Opus. This film chronicles his pro wrestling career, from his rise to popularity to the reason he had to step away from it. We also talk about his wrestling fandom, his background and career in theater and some future film projects. The episode ends with Chris partaking in a quick round of Tag, Feud or Job. Episode 228 – Encore Episode: Live at Wrestle Legends

It is time for an Encore Episode of The PVDcast. For this installment, I selected my favorite episode of all time. On August 18, 2018, I ventured out to the big Wrestle Legends convention that was held in Columbus, Ohio. With over twenty superstars from yesteryear in attendance, it was nirvana for any wrestling fan. I got the opportunity to sit down and chat with five of these greats from the squared circle. Those individuals are Tito Santana, Tatanka, Cowboy Bob Orton Jr., The One Man Gang and Road Warrior Animal! Grab a steel chair and sit down to hear some really cool stories!
