Episode 226 – Chris Bournea II

This episode of The PVDcast is a unique one, as it features Chris Bournea: a Columbus based writer and film maker. He is responsible for the documentary, Lady Wrestler: The Amazing Untold Story of African American Women in the Ring. In February, Chris invited film critic, Paul Markoff and me to partake in a round table discussion about film making. We share our opinions on what critical elements a film maker needs, in order to bring their vision to the big screen. This round table discussion will be later released as a video available through Chris’ YouTube channel.

Episode 221 – Dan Dougherty

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by comic creator, Dan Dougherty. We chat about his many projects, including his award-winning, autobiographical comic, Beardo Comics. Dan shares the origin story of how he helped to create one of the more unusual comics out there, Floppy Cop. Additionally, we also talk about Touching Evil, a tale about a woman with the power to kill with just one touch. We also chat about the original three volumes of the illustrated novels and his inspirations for creating Tercona. We also chat about the Worlds Collide card, which is happening this Saturday and we wrap up this edition by naming who we would put on our Canadian version of Wrestling’s Mt. Rushmore.
