A few weeks ago, I traveled to Monroe, Michigan to attend the Monroe Pop Fest (formerly the Monroe Comic Con). This episode of The PVDcast will highlight my trip to this fantastic convention. Episode 205 – Clare Kolat

My guest on PVDcast #205 is Clare Kolat, an artist, illustrator, writer and comic creator from the Cleveland area. Clare and I discuss her various projects, including The Apple Knight and The Department of Final Fulfillment. We also discuss her collaboration with Tim Switalski, who has paired with Clare on many of her projects. Clare also shares stories from comic conventions, including her role in organizing the annual independent comic convention, Genghis Con. This installment even has a small cameo from Clare’s cat, Gus, which makes this a very pet-friendly episode, you don’t want to miss!

Episode 204 – Remake Revolution 8

This episode of The PVDcast is a bit of a blast from the past. In July, I traveled to Pittsburgh to attend the Wizard World comic convention. While there, I participated in another episode of Mike McGTV’s YouTube show, Remake Revolution. This is a competition where two teams try to remake a sub-par movie based on several criteria. Paired up with an audience member, Max from the 3 Geeks Podcast and I do battle, trying to create the best remake of the 1995 film, Mortal Kombat. He is currently writing a sci-fi novel called Relic Shield, the third book in the Crax War Chronicles series. We discuss why this novel is taking longer than many of his other books to write. This weekend marks the return of the annual spectacle that is Summerslam! On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by my pro wrestling pundits, DJ Joey Blayze and Ringside Rand, to discuss the huge WWE pay-per-view event. We chat about the build-up to the show and give our opinions and predictions on what we think might happen this Sunday. We even analyze Saturday’s NXT: Takeover event and talk about the benefits of a rotating roster in pro wrestling. It’s an episode that hits harder than an Ox Baker heart punch!
