Victor is a Columbus-based comic book creator whose imprint, Vantage: Inhouse Productions, has produced the comics, The Trouble with Love, The Samaritan, Origins Unknown and many more. Victor has also created U-CR8 Comics, which is a curriculum designed to get kids reading comics (and hopefully other books too)! Episode 177 – Darryl Banks

 

The PVDcast is back for 2019! On this episode, Darryl Banks joins me to talk about his career in comics. Darryl is best known for his long run on D.C. Comics’ Green Lantern, in which he helped to develop the character of Kyle Rayner. We obviously talk about his run on Green Lantern, as well as his early days, working for various independent publishers. We also chat about Darryl’s new project, Harken’s Raiders. This World War Two epic tells the tale of Captain Harken leading a squad of commandos behind enemy lines to capture a German scientist, in an attempt to end the war. You don’t need a power ring, only earbuds, to hear this great episode!

This film is about an aging hockey player, who is trying to battle back from an injury to resurrect his career. Besides talking about the film, we also dive into Steph’s other projects – a novel called Paper Wasps and her production company, Eleven One Productions.
