Episode 117.5 – Amended

For the first time ever, I decided to amend an episode of the PVDcast. After watching the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, my original picks didn’t do so well. So, I am back on this episode to give my insights on my original picks & make some new ones. I review what I’ve been up to these past few weeks, talk about what legendary rap duo I found on Twitter & talk about my upcoming appearance on the 3 Geeks Podcast. It’s a super-short, but pretty fun installment.

Episode 117.5 – Stanley Cup Playoffs

On this mini-episode of the PVDcast, I talk about my favorite time of year – Stanley Cup Playoff time. I give my predictions on what team might lift Lord Stanley’s Cup. Will my predictions be correct or within two weeks will my bracket be busted? Listen to this edition or you might end up in the penalty box!

Episode 117 – Live from SPACE!

I am live from SPACE (Small Press and Alternative Press Expo) on this edition of the PVDcast! Paired up with Brian Lau, I went about collecting personal stories from the good folks who were nice enough to stop by our table. Hear what most people thought about SPACE and/or Brian’s book, Staunch Ambition! There’s even a little Wrestlemania review thrown in at the beginning. A live episode of the PVDcast hasn’t happened in a while, so listen to this one!

Episode 116 – Ken Eppstein (What the Rock Live)

On this episode of the PVDcast, I go “live” when I visit What the Rock to talk to comic creator, Ken Eppstein. It has been a long time since Ken has appeared as a guest and he has lots to talk about! We discuss some changes he has made in his personal and professional life, his new endeavor with the cool rock ‘n roll store, What the Rock, Ken’s love of music and chat about several of his new projects. We even manage to touch on the topic of S.P.A.C.E., of which Ken and many other great creators will be a part of this weekend. This episode is a rockin’ good time, so give it a listen!

Episode 115 – Brian Canini & Derek Baxter 2

The guys from Drunken Cat Comics, Brian Canini and Derek Baxter, stop by on this installment of the PVDcast. These guys are quite busy with numerous projects going on. They are in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign to fund The Big Year, a graphic novel that chronicles Brian’s life (a sequel to Fear of Flying). We also talk about Glimpses of Life and Plastic People, two other projects that are rolling out. Brian and Derek also share their views and reminisce about their experiences at S.P.A.C.E. (Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo). This edition was as fun to create as it is to listen to!

  • Special thanks to Stephen Hines for giving me some rocking music to use for Orlando Hates!

Episode 113.5 – Hockey & Howard the Duck

On this mini-episode of the PVDcast, I explain what’s been going on over the past few weeks. Things get rolling with my tales of website malfunctions, a computer that needed some work & an email from Eric Embry. I throw in my ideas for what movie should be the next TV series that hits the air and I wrap up with an Orlando’s Fav that reveals what NHL team I detest! Tune in and find out what has my dander all stirred up!

Episode 111 – Robby “Super” Starr

On this episode of the PVDcast, I sit down with OCW stand-out, Robby “Super” Starr. Whether he was cheered or jeered, Robby has been a mainstay in the independent professional wrestling scene, since his start.  Robby shares stories of his training, his successful singles and tag team career and his informal education in pro wrestling. Robby even catches me off guard during a round of Tag, Feud or Job™, forcing me to call an audible! So, get ready for this episode to bodyslam your eardrums!
