Episode 374 – Wrestlemania Preview 2023

Episode 373 – Colin Devonshire III

Dallas, Texas is the ninth largest city in the United States. It is also the setting for the comic, By the Time I Get to Dallas. My guest for this episode of The PVDcast is the creator of this comic, Colin Devonshire. Colin explains the origin of this tale and how his medical background played an important role during the initial phase of the book. We also talk about the first three issues and the soon to be released fourth issue. Throw in a discussion about the protagonist, Rudy and the sister project, The Trinity Project and you will have one great overview of this amazing story!

Episode 372 – Wes Gift

Action movies were a staple of 80’s cinema. On PVDcast #372, I am joined by Wes Gift, a comic book creator who was heavily influenced by that genre. His comic, Hard Justice, focuses on Rex and Saint, two vigilantes looking to clean up the street of their town. Wes and I talk about the origins of the book and the recent Kickstarter to help fund the project. Wes and I also chat about the influences for Hard Justice, his background in film making, his comic book fandom and some previous projects. Episode 371 – Ron Ransom Part 2

This episode of The PVDcast is the second part of a conversation with Ron Ransom. As discussed last episode, Ron is a legendary concert promoter in Columbus, Ohio. We chat about his first show he promoted and how it kicked off a near 30+ year career. Ron also shares his philosophy on giving back to the community. He has promoted shows for over 3 decades. On Part 1 of our conversation, Ron and I discuss his life from childhood to the early start of his prompting career. A film buff is a good way to describe me. Even though I enjoy a variety of genres, there is one genre that I am not a fan of – horror. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by my MatTalk partner and host of the 3 Geeks Podcast, Jason Taylor. We chat about Jason’s hosting duties on the new podcast, The Scary Snobs, as well as his other projects. Additionally, Jason will try to convince me to watch five horror movies of his choosing. Episode 367 – Roger Priebe

The comic book industry, like any industry, has its share of legends. My guest on PVDcast #367 has been rubbing elbows with a few of these legendary creators. Roger Priebe is that guest and he is also the producer of the Off the Record DVD series. This series chronicles the careers of some of the heavy hitters of comics – Gerry Conway, Jim Shooter and Peter David. We talk about the process of producing these first three DVDs.
