Episode 311 – Survivor Series Review 2021

The annual WWE fall spectacular, The Survivor Series, took place a few weeks ago. On this edition of The PVDcast, Ringside Rand from the Pro Wrestling Pundits joins me to discuss the results of the pay-per-view. We also chat about the possible storylines coming out of the event and talk about some miscellaneous wrestling news too. Lastly, we send our Get Well wishes to DJ Joey Blayze, who could not make the recording due to illness. But even with one Pro Wrestling Pundit, it’s still one fine, wrestling-centric installment!

Episode 310 – Survivor Series Preview 2021

The calendar says November, which means it’s time for the annual WWE spectacular, The Survivor Series. This pay-per-view event will go down this upcoming Sunday from the Barclays Center. My guests on this episode of The PVDcast are the Pro Wrestling Pundits (DJ Joey Blayze & Ringside Rand). The three of us will breakdown each match and give our predictions on who might be victorious. Episode 309 – William Walley II

On this episode of The PVDcast, I have a returning guest joining me who is a fellow podcaster. William Walley is the guest I am referring to and he first chatted with me in February. William is back to talk about season five of his podcast, World of Walley. We also discuss William’s philosophy on podcasting and life, as well as some new projects that are in the works. On this episode of The PVDcast, I’m joined by Jarrell “Pyro” Johnson, a rapper who is making waves in the acting and rap world. We chat about his musical inspirations, how he produces music and what rap legend would be his dream collaboration. Episode 306 – Darren McCarty & Dom Riggio

This episode of The PVDcast features a conversation from a panel that took place at this year’s Monroe Pop Fest. The panel was called “Sports in Comics” and featured two very special guests. Detroit Red Wings’ legend, Darren McCarty and Mess Bucket Comics’ Dom Riggio sit down with me and co-host, Tim Beisiegel to talk about a myriad of topics. We cover Darren’s philosophy on life, his hockey career, his love of pro wrestling, podcasting and even his thoughts on Carole Baskin. We also discuss Dom’s comic book imprint and his new project, which is the third installment of his hockey comic, Donnybrook. It’s an episode full of greasy good times!

Episode 305 – TORG Gaming Expo

This episode of The PVDcast will chronicle my trip to the newest pop culture convention in the area, The TORG Gaming Expo. This convention focused primarily on video games, but also included comics, cosplay, toys, podcasting and plenty of other cool pop culture goodness. On the episode, you’ll hear my conversations with many of the indie comic creators that attended the event. Brian Lau, Matt Frey, Jay Kalagayan, Neil Moherman, Sean Forney and Rodney Fyke all share info about their current and future comic book projects. Next week kicks off another season of NHL hockey! Once again, I’m joined by hockey enthusiast, Luc Landry, to preview the upcoming season on this episode of The PVDcast. We try to cover all the news from the past off-season, which includes the addition of the Seattle Kraken to the league, controversies involving NHL stars and free agent signings or trades. We also dive into our predictions as to what we think might happen to some teams and individual players during this 82-game full season. This podcast looks at The Wire through the lens of literature. Kelly and I chat about the history and creation of the podcast, our collective fandom, and the tragic passing of Michael K. Williams. Episode 302 – Monroe Pop Fest 2021

This past weekend, I journeyed to Monroe, Michigan to attend this year’s Monroe Pop Fest. This episode of The PVDcast will chronicle my trip to this event. This year, I was lucky enough to have the chance to assist in the running of the show’s panels. I also met up with some old friends, such as the guys from Three Y’s Men Media and “The Bachelor” Benjamin Boone. I also made some new friends, like Eric from The Finest and Noel and Michael from Resurgence Comics. Additionally, I catch up with Brian E.
