This past weekend witnessed two WWE superstars punching their ticket to Wrestlemania by winning big at the Royal Rumble. On this episode, I am once again joined by the Pro Wrestling Pundits, Ringside Rand and DJ Joey Blayze. We breakdown each of the matches, discuss future storylines and chat about the predictions we made to see who had them right and who had them wrong. Episode 218 – Royal Rumble Preview 2020
Each January, the WWE presents the most unique of all its pay-per-view events, the Royal Rumble. This historic event is discussed on this episode of The PVDcast. I am joined by the Pro Wrestling Pundits, Ringside Rand and DJ Joey Blayze, to give our thoughts, opinions, predictions and insights into the show that kicks off Wrestlemania season. We also chat about the Worlds Collide card, which is happening this Saturday and we wrap up this edition by naming who we would put on our Canadian version of Wrestling’s Mt. Rushmore. Statistics say that 1 in 5 Americans suffer from a mental illness. Anxiety and depression are considered to be the most common mental illness. My guest on PVDcast 216 is Matt Frey, the man who created the book, What I Learned About Depression and Anxiety. Matt shares his personal story of his own battles with depression and anxiety and how that led him to create a book to help others in the same situation. We also chat about his graphic novel, Black Heart, the creation of Spaz-tastic Studios, some of his past endeavors and some of his upcoming projects. Kelci is also the editor of Indie Comics Hub and has dabbled in podcasting. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by Jack Wallace from Disposable Fiction Comics. Jack and I talk about the history of Disposable Fiction Comics, his various other books (such as The Marriage Act and Matter of Perception) and the current Kickstarter for his new project. This Kickstarter will fund Jack’s new endeavor to put both volumes of his latest book, Frankenstein for Mayor into a graphic novel. We even dive into Jack’s work on The Columbus Scribbler and his experience being nominated for an Eisner Award for that project! Like a story that Jack penned, this edition is not only boisterous, but poignant too.
