Episode 305 – TORG Gaming Expo

This episode of The PVDcast will chronicle my trip to the newest pop culture convention in the area, The TORG Gaming Expo. This convention focused primarily on video games, but also included comics, cosplay, toys, podcasting and plenty of other cool pop culture goodness. Episode 301 – Michael Messner

Hockey is a physical sport, full of contact between players. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by a filmmaker whose newest film highlights this physical aspect to the sport. Michael Messner is a filmmaker and the man behind the documentary, First Year Checking. This film focuses on the time when 12- and 13-year-old hockey players learn to check. Many believe that checking should not be taught with this age level, while others believe the opposite. Michael chronicles his own son and his team as they navigate their way through this unique time in a hockey player’s life.
