On this episode of The PVDcast, I’m joined by the Pro Wrestling Pundits (DJ Joey Blayze and Ringside Rand) to discuss the pay-per-view. Episode 247 – Trish Adora
On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by a guest who may already be familiar to some listeners, as she was the topic of discussion on a previous episode. My guest is professional wrestler, Trish Adora, who was the subject of Antonio Hernandez’s short documentary, South Side Suplex (see episode #239). Trish and I discuss her fandom of pro wrestling, her decision to get into the business and how she ended up training in Florida. We talk about her military background and how that ties into the world of pro wrestling. We also chat about winning gold, inter-gender wrestling and cap off our conversation with a very insightful round of Tag, Feud or Job. My first guest is Paul Ross, a videographer/filmmaker from the U.K. Paul has created a documentary focusing on his friend and comic book artist, Dean Ormston. We chat about his friendship with Dean, the focus of the documentary, life in Barnsley, England and the current Kickstarter to fund the project. My second guest is Rebekah Miskin, creator of the web-series, Night Owl. Rebekah talks about the origin of her project, the challenges of making a web-series, the response to the project and how she is helping others through Night Owl. Episode 245 – NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs 2020
The pandemic stopped sports in its tracks, leaving many of its loyal fans clamoring for their return. Over the past few weeks, several professional leagues have returned to action. This includes the NHL, who put a plan in place to make the Stanley Cup playoffs a reality for 2020. On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by fellow hockey enthusiast, Luc Landry, to talk about this year’s playoffs. We discuss how the playoffs have a different structure, which teams have a shot to lift Lord Stanley’s Cup and some of the concerns about playing during the pandemic, despite lots of safety and security protocols. Stephen is also a musician and we talk about Stephen’s new song, Covidiots. This song’s proceeds will be going to two different charities to help with COVID relief.
