Wrestling takes center stage on this installment of The PVDcast. Gerald Glassford (Pop Culture Cosmos) and I dive into the latest storylines, corporate moves, and major headlines shaking up the wrestling industry on this installment of the State of Pro Wrestling for October & November. We chat about WWE Crown Jewel and comment on the controversy with the annual Saudi Arabia spectacle. We cover the internal struggles, booking snafus and growing an audience which have slowed the momentum of AAA and AEW. We also evaluate Roman Reigns’ part-time schedule, title reign legacy, and whether his drawing power justifies his spot at the top. Lastly, we analyze Dave Meltzer’s latest Hall of Fame ballot—who deserves induction, notable snubs, and how fans and podcasters view the prestige of the HOOF criteria.
