Episode 350 – Jay Kalagayan II

Next week, Columbus, Ohio will host a celebration of cartooning, comics and illustration that is unlike any other. The Cartoon Crossroads Columbus festival (CXC) will occur over several days and locales throughout the capital city. Executive Director, Jay Kalagayan, joins me on this episode to talk about the event. Jay explains how CXC is much different than other conventions. He also shares how he became the Executive Director & explains what his goals are for the festival. Additionally, Jay also reveals the schedule of events and lists some of the guests coming to town.

Episode 349 – Frank James Bailey V

It is not uncommon for indie comic creators to diversify their catalog. My guest on PVDcast #349 is in the middle of that task. Frank James Bailey is that guest and he talks about his new project, The Taming of April. This new project is a radical departure from his previous project, the kids’ comic, Tercona. Frank and I discuss why he is doing this project, the origins of this wild & raunchy tale and the current Kickstarter to fund this endeavor.
