Episode 170 – Craig Bogart

On this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by Craig Bogart, the man behind one of the most creative comic books out there, The Ineffables. While it is a challenging book to describe, Craig and I discuss the long history of the book and its impact on the Columbus comic book scene. Craig and I also discuss his many other projects, such Cosmos Simian and Allied Powers. Craig even discusses his recent dive into the world of Patreon, the ups and downs of convention life and why he doesn’t number his books!

Episode 169.5 – Back on Track

On this mini-episode of The PVDcast, I return from a long and unplanned hiatus. What caused this hiatus? PC issues that have now been resolved! But, I recap the whole dilemma involving my PC, as well as my thoughts on good customer service. Episode 169 – Monroe Comic Con 2018

This episode of The PVDcast features highlights from my trip to the Monroe Comic Con. This annual celebration of comic books took place September 15 in Monroe, Michigan. Per my modus operandi, I helped Brian Lau at the Staunch Ambition table, met some new friends and got some podcasting done. In fact, on this episode, you’ll hear my interviews with the legendary Glenn Fabry and Arvell Jones. I will apologize up front for some technical issues with Arvell’s interview and hope it does not deter you from checking out one fantastic episode!

Episode 168 – ALL IN

The wrestling world was set on its ear three weeks ago when ALL IN took place in Chicago. Wrestling fans from all over converged on Chi-Town for a host of various events happening over Labor Day weekend. I traveled to the Windy City to catch this historic weekend of wrestling fandom. And on this episode of The PVDcast, I am joined by a fellow wrestling enthusiast Will (twitch.tv/W34ponx) who also partook in the events that ALL IN had to offer. We talk about our different experiences at ALL IN, STARRCAST, AAW and all of the other festivities happening that weekend. It’s a recap that’s deeper than any deep dish Chicago pizza!

The CXC (Cartoon Crossroads Columbus) Festival is a celebration of cartoons, comics & art featuring a host of creators & activities spread out throughout Columbus. In addition to talking about Ken’s new projects, we also discuss Ken’s past projects. We even chat about his inspirations, his fandom for comics & music & believe it or not, cussin’ kitties!

Episode 166.5 – Labor Day

Labor Day was this past weekend and on this mini-episode of The PVDcast, I recap some of the things I did over the holiday weekend. I give a brief review of my trip to Chicago to see the historic ALL IN event. I also discuss the upcoming Cartoon Crossroads Columbus event and the passing of Burt Reynolds. The mini-episode concludes with details on a new project I am working on with Jeramy from The Canned Air Podcast. I would tell you more about this project, but then you would not have to listen to episode 166.5!

Episode 166 – Summerslam Review (2018)

WWE’s big pay-per-view of the summer took place about two weeks ago. As promised, DJ Joey Blayze and Ringside Rand return on this episode of The PVDcast to give their thoughts on what actually went down at this year’s Summerslam. We discuss the matches that we enjoyed, the matches that we despised and the fallout for storylines following the big event. We also chat about the NXT: Takeover Brooklyn 4 event that took place the night prior to Summerslam.
